What is HR?
HR s short for human resources. It is closely related to managing human resources.
The term HR appeared long time ago. Many years of experience in leading business were, however, needed, before time and attention were devoted to issues related to employees and before these matters were viewed as an important aspect in development and achieving business goals in an organization.
In the today’s reality, HR is responsible for all the professional processes related to people, including, among others:

– leading career paths,
– employees’ assessment,
– administration of employee benefits,
– keeping HR and payroll documentation,
– terminating contracts with employees., etc.
We often speak about ”soft HR” and ”hard HR”.
What is the difference between commonly called „soft HR ” od „hard HR”?
„Soft HR” is responsible for overall processes related to supporting employees and managerial staff in the field of professional human resources management, i.e. taking care of working conditions, organization of life in the company, as well as professional growth, increasing employee competencies, recruitment, communication between employees and management, searching for talents, taking care and constant monitoring of the atmosphere and satisfaction of work, and creating the corporate image in the job market, etc.
„Hard HR” jest is responsible for overall processes related to formal services of employees in the field of HR and payroll administration, for example issuing certificated of employment, preparing employment contracts, notices, calculating holiday balance, referrals for medical examination, calculating the remuneration /in case this department is also linked to the payroll department/ etc.
