What is coaching?
Coaching is the most effective form of work for people with high independence, who do not like to be told what they should do. They themselves know what is the best for them at a given stage of life. They have these solutions in themselves, but they are so busy with problems and occupied with the tasks of everyday life that they need suport and tools to stop and listen to themselves and discover their potential.
Coaching is first of all combined with increasing awareness, sometimes the process of change takes place, but it is not a necessary condition. It is above all related to human self-development.
According to International Coaching Federation Chapter Poland coaching is a method which, in an effective way, allows to define and achieve important goals, increase satisfaction from professional and private life, become a more aware leader, manager, or parent. It fully utilizes potential, competencies and skills of the client. It identifies difficulties. It prepares to overcome them. It often translates into motivation and bigger determination in action.
International Coaching Federation defines coaching as accompanying the client in a creative process, which encourages to think and inspires to maximize professional and personal potential.
There is individual, group and team coaching.

In coaching, we change dreams into goals, and then we define an action plan and realize it.
Sometimes awareness in a specific area is enough for a goal to be achieved. Sometimes one has to make a decision to carry out a change process in their behavior, way of acting, in their professional or private life, and sometimes it is enough to look at the reality and verify doubts that the particular situation does not require a change. The final decision on the change or lack of change is made by the Client during the coaching process, because it is the Client who always knows and feels what at a given moment is the best for them.
What is the role of a coach?
Coach supports the Client in the development and in achieving their goals. Coach asks questions, inspires and suggests using some coaching tools, keeping in mind that in the end it is the Client who decides, whether he/she will use these tools and whether he/she will use the result achieved in the coaching process in real life.
Coach supports the Client in achieving what he/she desires, without doing it for them and without giving any hints. Coach does not give the Client a ”recipe” how to achieve a particular goal.
What is a coaching session?
It is a meeting of the Coach and the Client, during which a coaching goal is defined and achieved according to the previously discussed rules. During the whole process confidentiality applies.
